GUH 2010 ISCD BONE DENSITOMETRY COURSE - 14-15th May 2010
Galway University Hospitals are delighted to announce that they will be hosting Ireland's second International Society for Clinical Densitometry (ISCD) Bone Densitometry Course for Clinicians and Technologists on 14th and 15th May 2010.
Following the success of 2009, this year we will once again host the ISCD bone density certification course. 2009 saw 58 course paritcipants including consultants, trainee physicians, nurses and radiographers from several specialities including radiology, endcrinology, geriatrics, rheumatology and general practice. ISCD certified 78% of clinician's and 52% of technologists who took the examination.
ISCD has thousands of members from over 70 countries whose mission is to advance excellence of skeletal health. This internationally recognized course is an intensive 1.5-day educational programme for health professionals who perform, interpret or obtain bone denisty studies. A two-hour certification examination will be available following the course for those hoping to obtain official ISCD certification.
